Santa brought us an “allergenic” dog because the kids and I are allergic to dogs. Well, it turns out maybe “allergenic” means THEY have allergies. Tonight his face swelled up about a third larger than its normal size and he whined and scratched and rubbed. He is finally settling. The Olives always get the adventures…

Hope Asher is o.k.! He just wanted to be like the rest of the family.
Comment by Grandmom January 6, 2009 @ 2:04 pmAsher Moses Flash Dog Olive is doing much better. He actually has eyes instead of little slits and now has a normal sized head. I am still wondering if he has a normal sized brain… He is at work with me and we plan on buying matching sweaters after work today.
Comment by jeffolive January 6, 2009 @ 2:30 pmAsher Moses Flash Dog Olive was bitten by either a poisonous insect or a snake. You can give him children’s benedryl. Cut the dose in half or call me. I was a vetenarian in my previous life. Poor dog! I don’t take after hours calls. I’m wondering WHO has the bigger brain, man of dog?

I am wondering why you get more comments from your readers to your ‘dog postings’ than the post with spiritual insights.
Comment by Dad January 6, 2009 @ 11:29 pmActually, one of the kids bit him so I gave him snake benedryl, which is when the swelling began. Seriously, our Vet did, indeed, tell us to give him Benedryl!
And, I am sure he is smarter than me. Apparently dogs know a lot of stuff humans don’t. For instance the nutritional value of poop.
As far as the spiritual insights – that just may say more about me than my readers!Ugh.
