What an amazing day! It was absolutely gorgeous outside today – who could resist worshipping outdoors? We had two news crews out at the park the whole time and I gave them interviews so we should be on TV tonight – look for us tonight on CBS19 and KLTV7. The music was great, sermon was ok, but the most powerful part was a silent skit while our worship leader played in the background. I am not sure people knew whether to laugh or cry – but many of us were moved to tears. Thanks to our many volunteers for working so hard. We had a ton of people show up for our egg hunt (some stayed, some did not – but it was a free gift for our community) and if we do the hunt again next year we will definitely need more eggs. The amphitheater holds 1,000 people and our ushers counted roughly 730 people (it is really hard to count out there). Praise God for this day of Resurrection, because our King now lives and reigns forever!

What a glorious day to worship our risen Savior! What a spirit filled worship! What a diverse group of people! Praise God!
(and then there was our pastor who wore bunny ears on Easter AND on stage – how embarassing)
Comment by anniefae March 24, 2008 @ 9:50 pmIf you remember, I told the Easter crowd not to feel odd about coming to Dayspring because at Dayspring everyone is odd. I guess I proved my point.
